The Office of Review within the Ministry of
Education has launched its Quality Service Charter. This Charter
is a commitment towards a better quality service, efficiency and
customer care. This service will be given from a new Customer
Care Area at the ministry entrance.
The Office of Review is a relatively new office
that was set up last year. This office is responsible for
change managing in all the departments within the Ministry of
Education. It also deals with customer care and European Union
issues.
Mr Frans Borg, Director Office of Review, said
that during June, around 1400 customers made use of the Customer Care
Office either by coming personally, by phone, fax or e mail.
Moreover, a total of more than 800 applications were submitted.
On the whole, the Office delivers services to around 20,000 customers
every year.
The Office of Review will continue to strengthen
the efficiency within the Ministry as well as increase the
collaboration with the School Councils.
Minister Louis Galea stated that the government
is continually striving to improve service delivery within all
departments and ministries. Quality delivery standards should
also move hand in hand and reflect the increasing quality of
life that the Maltese citizen is enjoying. The minister
continued that the Government is also committed to improve and invest
in alternative and technologically advanced mediums of delivery such
as e-government.
